We are coining the term 'Community terraforming' to describe our community transformation agenda. The term refers to our aim in making our communities more habitable for young people.

Our Projects Include: property development, managed workspace, community businesses, arts programmes, sports and leisure facilities, retail and market space, town centre managementm building restoration, environmental improvement, community transport, education work, employment training, information services, community development, social provision, health centres, horticulture, agriculture and many more accross the West Midlands and Wales.

The Vine MS Academy is a:


  • portal that offers excluded communities, in deprived wards of Walsall, seamless access into the digital world of learning and support.

  • part of coalition of established 3rd Sector organisations, who have experience of delivering community provision, whose collaborative aim is to improve excluded communities? ability to service their client?s digital literacy needs.

    It is part of the Black Country ICT Gateway who's vision is:
  • By 2020, all Black Country workless residents will have the ICT skills and access to help them find and apply for jobs.

  • ICT use by all Black Country residents at risk of social exclusion will by 2020, benefit them as part of mainstream health and social care provision.

    The mission is to use Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) to improve the lives and chances of excluded communities and the places where they live.

    1. ICT Training


    Qualifications


    Provides a range of training from Digital inclusion at Entry level 1 to higher level vocational training, through our network of 3rd sector Microsoft Academies and UK Online centres.


    Action Learning


    Facilitating groups of people to work together on real problems, focusing on learning and actually implementing solutions.


    2. Social Enterprise


    Intermediate Labour Market


    This is a social enterprise which provides jobs and work placements for ICT Apprentices and others with appropriate skills.


    It provides technical support for voluntary organisations and SMEs in the Black Country, ensuring hardware and software is upgraded to enable most effective use of new technology to achieve their business objectives.


    Services will include:


    Affordable service contracts for V.S.Os


    Help desk support


    ICT Audits and advice on systems, hardware, and software


    Support with ordering and installing software including Microsoft offers.


    Advice and support on ordering hardware and its installation


    Network set up and administration


    Advice on disposable of redundant hardware through recycling


    Information Advice and Guidance


    3. Digital Inclusion


    Access to recycled computers.


    Advice on affordable connectivity options / possible service provision.


    Home support for learners.


    Engagement through local Community Access points.


    Promotion of ICT as a gateway to employability, good health and community.
